2 x Production Rework Operators

Put a LIFT in Your Career! Hyster-Yale Group, (HYG), a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for 2 x Production Rework Operators within the Assembly department at our facility located in Craigavon, Northern Ireland.

The primary purpose of these positions is to reduce the impact caused by trucks that are Out of Flow. Out of Flow are trucks that have been removed from the normal production process for various reasons, such as part shortages, supplier quality issues etc.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Fault finding lift trucks issues identified through manufacturing checks and pre-delivery inspection.
• Implementing resolutions to faults identified.
• Complete retro-fitting/replacing of parts to complete trucks to required specification
• Prioritising and ensuring quick turnaround of Out of Flow Trucks
• Updating Manufacturing databases with accurate information on a daily basis
• Being first point of contact for Team Leaders (Zone Captains) in the event of any queries relating to trucks
• Liaising with Value Stream Managers, Superintendents, Area Coaches and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure continuity of flow of trucks.

In order to be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following essential criteria:

• Time served apprenticeship as a Vehicle mechanic or alternatively a relevant technical qualification. e.g Motor Vehicle Studies, Vehicle diagnostics, Machinery maintenance and repair.
• Ability to diagnose problems in relation to mechanical and electrical issues
• Basic computer skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem solving skills.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will also meet the following desirable criteria:

• Previous mechanical experience working with Forklift Trucks, Motor Vehicles or similar.
