3D Animator at Invincibles Studio Ltd, Preston

Position Overview
We are looking for a talented and experienced 3D Animator to work principally on our portfolio of projects. This position offers the opportunity to be an integral part of a close-knit team as we look to push our fast-growing games on to the next level. Working closely with the Studio Director, Head of UI and Product Owner, the position allows you to express your animation talents as well as to engage your creative skills across the breadth of our products.

This position will suit someone creative, motivated and detail-oriented, who will be happy to use their communication skills to push the rest of the team on to improve as well as to continue developing their own knowledge. While this is a mobile project, we value the skill and passion you can show us to improve the mobile gaming experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, realistic biped animations in Autodesk Maya
• Work alongside the Animation Lead to deliver assets with a unified vision
• Collaborate with technical art and programming teams to define tools, best practices and efficient workflows
• Utilise a flexible approach to drive rapid iterations, while setting style and visual standards
• Create engaging cinematics within the Unity game engine, using Cinemachine

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• More than 3 years working experience in 3D game animation
• 3+ years of professional experience using Maya
• Experience with Unity, or any other in-game animation state machine systems
• Strong ability to create streamlined, high-quality biped animation assets for use in mobile games
• Understanding of anatomy, movement, weight, timing and character appeal
• Knowledge of the workflow required to create animation assets
• A keen eye for detail and excellent problem solving skills

Desirable:

• Good understanding of camera techniques to create visually appealing shots
• Knowledge of modelling, rigging and texturing
• Knowledge of football
• Mocap cleanup experience

Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
