Junior 3d printing technician

Scruffy Dog Creative Group’s cutting-edge production facility in Birmingham has an exciting opening for a Junior 3d Printing Technician. We’re looking for a hard-working individual to help produce 3D models along with other the day-to-day duties arising from high-end projects for the biggest names in the entertainment resort and experience design industries.

Scruffy Dog Creative Group is a world-leading entertainment design & realisation company.

We are experts in Experience Design and Creative Build for Theme Parks, Waterparks, Resorts, Attractions, Museums, Live & Experiential Events, and TV & Film.

We currently work from creative studios in London, Barcelona, and Dubai and operate an extensive, state-of-the-art Creative Build Production facility in Birmingham, UK.

Due to continued expansion, our Birmingham office is looking for a Junior 3D Printing Technician.

  • Supporting the current team of Project managers, Technical Producers and Modelling Personnel to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Repair of 3D files from outside sources
  • Working mainly in FDM with some DLP on occasions.
  • Liaising with internal colleagues to ensure project milestones and actions are progressed/completed.
  • Identifying Issues in the production process and troubleshooting.
  • Maintenance of Printers and other associated equipment
  • Undertake any other duties as and when required to meet the operational requirements.

Experience/Skills:

  • Educated to a good standard.
  • Good Knowledge of RHINO & MeshMixer
  • Knowledge of Blender would be useful but not essential.
  • Conversant in other CNC processes would be valuable – Laser Cutting/3 axis routing (training will be available)
  • Effective organisation and time management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
