5g Lab Assistant

5G Lab Assistant – Cheltenham – £500 per day inside IR35 -12 Months – DV needed.

Role Summary

• Managing the 5G Lab network: – Working alongside the 5G Research team to define, build out and day to day maintenance of the network.
• Configuring Cisco switches – vlans, ip ranges and troubleshooting configuration changes and
• Optimizing performance of the networks to maximize its effectiveness.
• Patching and updates:
• Installing and configuring PSP products in complex environments (e.g., containerized & pre-packaged software & ARM architectures).
• Updating software and firmware of servers and setting up automation of patching.

Lab organization:

• Organization and planning of 5G Lab spaces, assets, components, and tools.
• Organizing assets and cataloguing them in line with corporate procedures.

Skills:

• System and network administration
• Experience in both Linux and Windows environments Desirable
• Experience with integrating and deploying software e.g. open source / proprietary deployments.
• Network administration.
• VMWare management.
• Mobile/RF knowledge would be a huge benefit but is not required.
