Accounts Assistant

This is a unique opportunity to join the finance team at Blue Array, working closely with a small team, you will be providing key support and taking ownership of various aspects of the finance function from start to end, in this all encompassing role.

This post will suit someone who has worked in a finance team before and is looking to progress, either already or looking to study towards AAT, ACCA, or CIMA. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and take on new challenges whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism with the output of their work. This will be a fulfilling and exciting role for the right person, you’ll become an integral member of Blue Array, with a culture that’s as individual, as our business model.

Your role will entail:

• Sales Ledger functions; sales invoicing & aged debtor reporting
• Purchase ledger; commission & referral calculations, sourcing missing invoices and making weekly supplier payment runs
• Manage employee expenses process end to end
• Processing daily bank transactions and weekly reconciliations

• Managing the finance mailbox
• Correlating and assisting with due diligence schedules and supporting information
• Add value and bring new ideas to the finance team to identify opportunities for improvement, create efficiencies and smooth reporting
• Assist the wider finance team with ad hoc reporting, analysis, reconciliations and other associated duties

Further to this, you will also be supporting the month end reporting process, in the following areas:

• Produce various reports and reconciliations such as bank reconciliations, aged debtors reporting.
• Update balance sheet reconciliations and make necessary journal adjustments such as prepayments and accruals where requested
