Accounts Senior

Kenton Black are delighted to be working with an accounting firm currently seeking an Accounts Senior for their office in Leeds.

THE COMPANY
As an Accounts Senior you will be joining a multi-disciplined professional services company which includes Chartered Accountants, Tax Advisers, Financial Planners and Legal professionals and Commercial and Residential Mortgages working across eight offices across Yorkshire and the Midlands.

This is an opportunity to join an expanding practice based in their Leeds office who will work with you to develop your career, provide you with the guidance and training you require to reach your potential, whilst working alongside highly experienced accountants and other professionals. They offer training both on site and externally.

THE ROLE OF ACCOUNTS SENIOR
To provide accounts & audit support to a busy Accountancy Practice.
Preparation of company financial statements
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
Preparation of interim management accounts
Preparation of personal tax returns
Preparation of partnership accounts and returns
Forecasts and business projections – not essential
Able to manage your own portfolio of clients
Train junior members of staff and allocate duties
Attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners
Any other general accountancy/administrative work as required

PERSON SPECIFICATON

• You must have at least 4 years working in an accountancy practice environment.
• Experience of Sage 50, Xero, Quickbooks, Iris, Sage Business Cloud an advantage
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Excellent time management skills
• Exceptional communication skills with a good telephone manner
• Good written and technical Skills
• Strong prioritisation and organisation Skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Strong record keeping skills
• Studying towards AAT/ ACCA or ACA qualification

Salary: £29,394.00-£31,082.00 per year
