LOGISTICS / ADMIN ASSISTANT – PORT OF MISTLEY, ESSEX
T W Logistics Ltd is a leading independent company which provides logistics and processing services for industrial raw materials. With a head office based in Lincolnshire, the Port of Mistley primarily handles cargoes by ship and HGV (incl. containerised goods).
We are seeking a hands-on, enthusiastic person with an eye for detail. Essential attributes being the ability to work pro-actively & as part of a team and excellent communication skills - the position’s main duties and responsibilities being:
Operation of the weighbridge: weighing vehicles in/out and preparing all associated paperwork.
Assisting with the organisation and booking of customer/third party/in-house haulage.
Maintaining customers’ stock records and progressing of orders.
Liaison with customers regarding the movement of materials.
Preparing delivery instructions and call-off requirements.
Communication with hauliers, shipping lines and agents as appropriate.
Close co-operation with TWL operational and other administrative staff.
Experience is not essential, but candidates must possess:
Excellent organisational skills, with a high level of numeracy, IT literacy and accuracy; enabling optimum use of the ‘in-house’ warehouse management system.
Good communication skills, with a professional, approachable manner.
A current driving licence.
