Job description for Air Safety Engineer
We are actively looking for diligent and meticulous Air Safety Engineers to join either an Aircraft Platform or an Aircraft Systems Delivery Team. We have multiple Air Safety Engineering positions available across a breadth of locations. Are you experienced in systems safety management? If so, we want to hear from you!
We welcome applications from Safety Engineers from other regulated environments with the willingness to reskill their safety focus in an aviation context.
As an Air Safety Engineer, you will support the development and management of effective safety management systems focusing on fast jets, transport aircraft or helicopters. Your main tasks will be the identification and analysis of hazards, the evaluation of risk reduction measures, and ensuring that these are adequately documented and managed. Aviation safety is paramount and as an Air Safety Engineer, you will play a vital role in the air environment.
You should be process driven and have a keen eye for detail. We are looking for an engineer to influence the safety decisions across the project lifecycle, by ensuring our Armed Forces are equipped with capable, safe-to-operate equipment. Safety is a niche area within our engineering teams, we expect you to arrive prepared to upskill, train and develop into the role.
We can offer you opportunities to develop your skillset by supporting aircraft employed across all three defence services, Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force. Growing your career with us will provide you with diverse opportunities to use your skills and knowledge to develop yourself professionally, whilst being at the forefront of crucial and significant projects. We offer our employees training, development and mentoring so you can achieve your career goals and aspirations.
In return, we can offer you incredible job stability, career progression, access to world-class training and a supportive culture.
We recognise that the best people for the job are not always available throughout core business hours and are proud to offer flexible, full-time and part-time working to support our colleagues in balancing home and work responsibilities.
