About the role….

You will commence on apprenticeship rate of £11,446 per annum, and your rate of pay will increase annually in line with the craft apprenticeship rate. The Gas Plumber apprenticeship is a 4 year programme.

You will be working as an apprentice Gas Plumber assisting/undertaking a wide range of plumbing and heating duties including gas works to all property types within the Council’s property portfolio and as required in line with business need. You will work with colleagues across Gateshead to apply the practical skills you will develop from attending college.

We want our Apprentice Gas Plumbers to develop core plumbing skills to succeed. You will support the service ‘one front door approach’, you will gain knowledge to enable you to be proactive in all aspects of health and safety, and the skills to work collaboratively with the team to deliver positive outcomes for our customers.

The apprenticeship you allow you to gain skills, knowledge and experience in all aspects of Joinery and you will be required to attend college to gain the necessary qualifications. You must also be willing to actively obtain a full driving license.
