Apprentice Pharmacy Dispenser

Our apprenticeship programme gives you the opportunity to work as a key member of our team, whilst gaining valuable work experience within York's Largest Independent Pharmacy Group. As an Apprentice Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant you will be given the opportunity to gain your Level 2 NVQ where you will gain transferable skills to help develop your career further. Throughout your training you will be supported by a multi skilled team, most of whom have also completed the same apprenticeship, and gone on to become great leaders within the company.

Your day to day duties will include:

• Working alongside a fully trained and diverse dispensing team, helping in the prescription process.

• Dealing with customer requests and queries, both in person and over the phone.

• Liaising with doctor's surgeries and other healthcare professionals

• Completing your coursework in a timely manner

• Keep up to date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs and their uses

• Respect and maintain confidentiality of information concerning customers, colleagues, company policies and statistics in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) from 25th May 2018).
