Reporting to the Property Services Manager, the Apprentice Plumber will contribute to all areas of plumbing within repairs, maintenance, servicing, and planned works. The apprentice will also complete a range of maintenance activities to a diverse customer base for Great Places Housing Group.

Providing a first class plumbing service in respect of the maintenance of all domestic sanitary appliances e.g. bathrooms, sinks, taps, drainage

Locating and identifying leaks

Repairing or replacing pipes and parts

Determining the right tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete the assigned job

Communicating with various teams across the business

Respecting customer homes, leaving them clean and safe

Treating your customers with respect and empathy

Working 39 hours per week, starting from 8:00am
What you’ll need…

GCSE maths and English or equivalent at grade C/4 or above, would be preferred

Good communication and willingness to build good rapport with customers

Ability to work as part of a team as well as using your own initiative

Keen eye for detail

Good level of ICT skills and the ability to use technology such as a mobile phone, tablet and laptop

Eagerness undertake training and development

Positive and constructive outlook

Be able to attend college as part of the apprenticeship programme

Commitment to completing all parts of the apprenticeship
