About the job
The Infantry Training Centre (ITC) delivers Infantry basic training and initial trade training and is based in Catterick Garrison. The ITC consists of three units; 1 and 2 Infantry Training Battalions (ITB) and a Support Battalion all collocated along with Headquarters School of Infantry. 1 and 2 ITB undertake the Combat Infantry Course (CIC) for all recruits who wish to join the Infantry regular and reserve. The ITC also commands Pegasus Company (which delivers P Coy), the Army School of Ceremonial, and the Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming (based in Edinburgh).
We deliver training which covers everything from developing a civilian arriving with no military experience into a trained, confident Infantry soldier, to instructing people to play the Bagpipes.
