Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Remuneration: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum FTE (Part-time 25-30hours per week)

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Permanent

Location: London (inc flexibility to work remotely)

About the role:

Due to the growth of the business mkodo is looking for Assistant Accountant. It is an exciting hands-on role workingdirectly with the Finance Director. This role is ideal for someone with experience in similar role and wishes to gain more experience.

Main responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping on Quickbooks in multicurrency
• Run monthly payroll
• Maintain fixed assets register
• Identify opportunities to simplify/improve accounts processes and internal controls
• Answer and investigate any accounting related queries
• Verifying and reconciling contractors tables with billing information
• Streamline processes to assist with revenue recognition and cost accruals
• Prepare and submit HMRC returns (VAT, EC Sales List, Corp tax inc R&D)
• Assist with accounts payables with preparing payment file on weekly basis
• Support Month-end reports and various other management reports.

Key skills and attributes:

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA part qualified or studying towards their qualification
• Has an experience in a similar role and demonstrated efficient, accurate and timely accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Effective communication skills to work with colleagues at all levels within the business
• Self-starter with an eye for details and willingness to go above and beyond their job role
• Ability to work under pressure in a commercial environment to tight deadlines.

Nice to Have

• Quickbooks experience would be an advantage
• Financial modelling experience and knowledge
• Experience working in a dynamic/commercial environment.
