Assistant Feedstock Manager

Material Change Limited has over 18 years’ experience in recycling and energy generation industry. We have developed and operate 10 Anaerobic Digestion plants across the UK processing more than 350,000t of organic material to generate renewable gas, electricity and CO2. We clear and sell over 500,000t of chicken litter as a renewable feedstock and fertilizer replacement. With 6 compost sites across the Midlands and East of England we provide quality assured and farm grade Compost, Mulch and Bark to landscapers, Gardeners, Local Farmers and Local Authorities.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Material Change for an Assistant Feedstock Manager within our feedstock supply teamto assist with the production and procurement of 300,000 of agricultural feedstocks

Location based in: Euston Biogas (Thetford).

Reporting to the MCL Feedstock Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the growing and procurement of agricultural energy crops; including the use of solid and liquid digestate.
• Assist in procuring other suitable AD feedstocks.
• Field walks with the agronomists.
• Help organize cultivations for drilling.
• Consult with Growers throughout the growing season.
• Make Harvest plans for contractors (to include Grass, Rye and Maize).
• Help record data from all contractors.
• Organize Weighbridge cover for 4 sites during harvest periods.
• Help arrange logistics including for harvest and clamping operations.
• Collate Sustainability Criteria.

The role will include interacting with customers both commercial and agricultural

Requirements:

• An Understanding of agriculture and growing of Energy crops is desirable.
• Be able to work alone and part of a team.
• Good computer skills
• Good attention to detail
• Good communication skills with people
• Clean Full UK driving licence is essential.

Salary: (£28,000-£35,000) dependent on experience, a company vehicle and phone will be provided.
