Assistant Finance Business Partner

We have a brand new opportunity to join our growing Integrations Finance team as an Assistant Finance Business Partner.

The team work on a hybrid basis so you have the option to be in our our central support office in Cheltenham two days a week (Wednesday is the team day in the office), with the rest of the week working from home.

About the role

In our Assistant Finance Business Partner role , you'll work closely with our Senior Finance Business Partners to fully integrate newly acquired practices into Portman. Some of your other key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting with creating schedules for payment of the clinical staff within your area
• Supporting with the preparation and review of monthly management accounts for the integration practices within your area
• Preparing and reconciling the practice KPIs to include including clinician hours, hourly rates and utilisation rate
• Monitoring other key controls relating to cash management, debtors and creditors and capital spend
• Supporting in the setting of budgets and forecasts for practices within your area
• Acting as a point of contact for your practices to help train colleagues and resolve both financial and non-financial queries

About you

This is an entry level position within the Integrations Finance team , which is an exciting, growing and fast-paced area of the business - you'll gain exposure to a large array of the financial integration and acquisition processes that are currently managed by a senior finance team. With the necessary experience, this role could lead to an integrations business partner role if that is where your career aspirations lay.

We're looking for a confident communicator, who can support with successfully integrating new acquisitions into the Portman ways of working before handing them over to the BAU team for general day-to-day operations.

We particularly welcome your application if you are/have the following:

• Current AAT studier or intending to start professional qualification
• Demonstrable experience in managing workload to deadlines
• Excellent, well rounded communication skills with experience of stakeholder management
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong IT skills; especially in Excel
