Assistant General Manager

We're now looking for a creative and details focused Assistant Manager, with strong leadership skills to lead our teams at our multi site venue Golf Fang and Birdies Bar located in the heart of Digbeth.

As Assistant Manager, you will support the General Manager in managing the venue with line management responsibility for Duty Managers . You will lead in recruiting, training, and developing an engaged and guest focused team, ensuring compliance with licencing, hygiene and health and safety. You will lead on standards, creativity, and quality across Golf Fang and Birdies and be responsible for the continuous development of the standards in the venue though positive and proactive people management, and the ongoing review of products and service. You will be a strong duty manager yourself, confident in venue management and stock and cash handling.

• We are looking for a strong leader who will support our GM and management team in delivering consistently outstanding experiences for our customers and develop our experiences to be the best they can be
• Team focused, with the ability to recruit, train, develop and retain the best team
• Self motivated, positive and confident approach is right up our street as we want you to inspire everyone you work with
• Excellent knowledge of compliance, licensing, health and safety and people management processes
• Previous proven experience in a similar role within a hi volume bar operation or hospitality venue and be confident in all areas of venue management

Essential criteria

· At least 6 months management experience at a similar level.

· Experience in staff training, coaching and development.

· Innovative and creative approach to cocktail menu and service development.

· HR and H&S, Food safety legislation experience

Desirable criteria

· Experience in a multi-site /hi volume unit

· England & Wales Personal License.
