Assistant Management Accountant

Hours: 40 (8am – 5pm Mon-Fri)
Based in Coventry
We’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant, either qualified or part qualified, to provide accounting and financial support, guidance and oversight to our team in Coventry on a healthcare contract. You would be responsible for supporting the production of monthly P&L and Balance Sheets, Management Packs and critical financial reports to be presented to the client. The role plays a leading part to ensure the effective and efficient financial management of the contract working closely with budget holders, senior management and the client. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running with limited supervision required.
The successful candidate will have;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA or ACCA or ACA) – open to experience only
- Experience in finance and management accounting roles, producing P&Ls and Balance sheets
- Experience in the preparation and monitoring of financial reports, annual budgets and forecasts
- Experience of using Accounting software packages (Microsoft D365 desirable)
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel
You would be expected to support with;
- Supporting the preparation of the monthly Application to the client
- Supporting the production of the P&L & Balance Sheet to ensure accurate recording of costs
- Supporting with the reconciliation of Accrued Income/WIP
- Supporting with the production of key finance reports including the monthly contract / management accounts pack
- Supporting with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly reviews
- Supporting the business in the regular forecasting exercises
- Providing ad hoc financial analysis and modelling etc
