This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Manchester & North-West Transformation Programme team with two Associate Sponsor roles available! As an Associate Sponsor, youll develop an understanding and capability of the sponsor role through shadowing, managing, and supporting projects across the Manchester & North-West Transformation Programme. Youll also drive the development and implementation of specific small/medium-sized schemes as directed by the lead sponsor.
The Manchester & North-West Transformation Programme is a major programme delivering £220m of investment over the next 3yrs. We have an extensive portfolio of projects currently comprising DfT and third party funded enhancements which will unlock capacity, train performance, and connectivity improvement benefits for the area, and include electrification, line of route upgrades and major station redevelopments.
This is an exciting time to be joining the team with the complex interfaces with HS2, Transpennine Route Upgrade, and the Integrated Rail Plan all driving forward. You will engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across the industry, the local authorities and the local community and experience a broad range of activities that interface with different areas such as communications, strategic planning and project management.

Keeping people safe on the railway is at the heart of everything we do, safe behaviour is, therefore, a requirement of working for Network Rail. Applicants should demonstrate their personal commitment to safety in their application.
Drugs & Alcohol test: All prospective candidates offered a conditional role will be required to undergo and pass a drugs and alcohol test. Your application will be rescinded if you record a positive test. All positive drugs and alcohol test results for prospective candidates will be securely held on Sentinel Database and a 5-year suspension from applying for a safety critical role, a role which requires PTS certification or a Key Safety role on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure will be enforced.

We adhere to a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range: Band 4B Starting salary of £34,050 raising to £38,305.
