Our Vehicle Engineering business operates a whole life methodology to specialist vehicle conversions. This ranges from concept design and assessment, to manufacture and installation of customer specific equipment, through to maintenance and eventual decommissioning of the vehicle.

The role

As an Auto Electrician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will fit, repair, install and integrate enhanced electrical and electronic systems in motor vehicles. You will also design and develop electrical solutions for vehicles, fault finding and rectification. You will also deal with the removal and fitting of seats, panels, roof lining, door cards, interior trim, carpets, switch gear light clusters, bumpers.

Essential experience of the Auto Electrician,

• Able to read and interpret electrical wiring plans and diagrams.
• Modify electrical circuits, assess cable sizes and AMP capacity.
• Fault finding of vehicle electrical systems and rectification work.
• Removal and fitting of seats, panels, roof lining, door cards, interior trim, carpets, switch gear light clusters, bumpers.
• Designing electrical circuits and wiring diagrams experience is desirable.

This role requires 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, with half a day worked on Fridays. Fully onsite role with overtime available throughout the week & weekends.

Qualifications for the Auto Electrician,

• NVQ level 2 in a relevant qualification
• OR proven automotive electrical experience

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC level of security clearance level for this role.
