Aviation Security Agent

Are you interested in a career in the aviation sector? We are looking for a Security Agent to join our expanding team. This role is open to applicants with no previous security experience and a genuine interest in aviation, customer service and security. All necessary training will be fully paid for and provided by our sector experts, including support in obtaining relevant background checks. We provide full training for our Security Agents, both in the classroom and on the job. You will also be using equipment and manual search techniques to ensure that no prohibited articles are carried, carrying out regular patrols and controlling access. You must have good communication skills and the ability to deal with different situations while being responsible for ensuring the safe and smooth processing of passengers, staff and visitors whilst displaying the highest level of customer service at all times.

Main Duties:

• Checking identification of all staff requiring access
• Being the first point of contact in resolving or escalating any access alarms, breaches or system failures
• Readying the members of staff for the search process
• Advising on any luggage/LAG restrictions
• Ensuring items are divested and trays packed correctly for x-ray screening
• Ensuring all member of staff and their items have been subject to the necessary screening (WTMD, security scanner, x-ray, ETD, Liquid testing etc.)
• Being the first point of contact in resolving or escalating any activations, breaches or equipment failures
• Ensuring no prohibited articles are brought into the critical part which may endanger staff etc.
• Ensuring all unattended items are reported and screened
• Ensuring all vehicles which have a right of access have and display the correct documentation
• Carrying out patrols/sweeps of airport locations in order to maintain secure boundaries

Essential Criteria:

• 5-year UK residency
• 5-year Checkable background (including employment, self-employment, career gaps, benefits and education)
• Minimum of 18 years of age to be able to obtain an airside pass
• Able to pass a CRC and CTC (Counter terrorism check) as part of the airside pass application.
• Able to pass a colour-blind test
