Barista

We require an enthusiastic individual who can work effectively and efficiently in our exciting new business. As a Barista you will prepare and serve coffee beverages, ensuring each customer is provided with an excellent customer service experience. We are looking for a friendly and responsible candidate who has a passion for excellent customer service, and a willingness to work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment.

As a front-of-house employee, you will represent the brand and the culture of The Steamer Coffee House & Kitchen and provide customers with professional and friendly service. We pride ourselves on serving the best quality coffee, other hot drinks and locally sourced meals. The right applicant will be passionate about their work and be up for a challenge.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare espresso and coffee beverages according to established recipes.
• Prepare coffee beverages for customers according to customers' needs and preferences.
• Serve food items and beverages for customers.
• Maintain food safety standards in the workplace.
• Follow dishwashing procedures.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Follow proper recycling procedures.
• Follow hygienic principles.
• Follow sanitation procedures.
• Follow inventory procedures.
• Wipe down work stations.
• Barista experience is preferable, however not essential
• Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts which will include early mornings, weekends and bank holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 8-24 per week

Salary: £5.50-£10.42 per hour
