Barista and Bakery Assistant

Who are we?

We are a small family run bakery based in Devizes. We supply wholesale baked goods to many retailers locally, post nationwide and have a shop for our customers to visit. We also have a coffee shop which opens Tuesday - Saturday, offering hot drinks, milkshakes and catering for events. We offer flexible working patterns, competitive rates of pay and free cake!

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and trustworthy team player to assist within our small bakery. It is a fast paced environment which can be physically demanding due to long periods of standing and heavy lifting is involved.

You will be expected to bake all types of cakes, brownies, blondies, cookies etc depending on demand of wholesalers, customers and order requirements, as well as package items for postal orders and for our wholesalers.

We are a small team and help across the board, you will also be expected to help serve customers, make drinks and maintain the cleanliness of the shop.

Job Duties:

• Stock Rotation and Ordering
• Weighing and measuring ingredients
• Baking and production of all types of baked goods
• Maintaining standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
• Using computer systems for postage labels, packaging labels and order sheets
• Serving customers, making drinks and clearing away tables
• Packaging items for dispatch or delivery to our wholesalers

Job requirements:

• Excellent communication skills
• IT skills
• Team working skills
• Reliable, trustworthy and able to work without supervision
• To be able to use own initiative
• Catering or baking experience is not essential but would be advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £8.00-£11.00 per hour
