The Wax Scene is currently recruiting for an experienced waxing specialist who excels in wax hair removal using both hot and strip wax.

In addition, basic knowledge of Dermaplanning and vajacials are welcome but optional.

The Wax Scene aims to deliver the highest quality & most premium experience of facial and body waxing for all our clients without compromise

We offer our services to all genders of every hair type, waxing all areas from the top of their eyebrows to the tip of their toes - all the while practicing strict hygiene and maintaining a comfortable experience for our clients by using premium quality products, a clean space and thorough aftercare

SHIFTS & AVAILABILITY:

• This job-role is for the duration of 2023 (temporary/contract) with the prospect of being permanent and eventually being assigned to manage and work on our next location in the new year
• Shift work 9:30am - 4pm or 4pm - 8pm

OR

• FULL DAY: 10am - 8pm - Paid lunch & Break
• Closed Sundays, short hours on Saturday
• Not required to work every Saturday (2x per month)

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• You must be proficient in waxing
• A Hollywood or Brazilian should take you a maximum of 30 minutes.
• Willing to do male body and intimate waxing - training provided
• You must be able to communicate in English.
• You must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
• You must hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or an accredited course.
• Ability to work with hot wax, desirable but will be trained
• Ability to work with roller wax desirable but will be trained

CONTRACT & PAYMENT

• Pay is commission-based or hourly depending on what kind of shifts you are willing to take on
• Your rates will be approx £12-£14 per hour or 30% - 35% per client upon passing of probation
• Commission based: You do not get paid for time waiting for clients but with the flexibility to clock-in late and clock-out early if available
• This is a services contract, so you will be self-employed - you will be responsible for your own taxes
• Payments are made fortnightly to your bank account every Friday
• First two weeks of pay are kept as a security deposit and paid back to you once your notice is served per our contract.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Clients come first.

All we ask is you’re able to provide a faultless treatment to all clients who walk through the door, take care of them and make them feel great when they leave.

We expect you to grow and maintain a client base by supporting our clients through their individual needs and by upselling (only if needed) further regular treatment plans and packages at a frequency that offers preventative care.

You are responsible for the professionalism required to provide consistent and effective treatments and self-care habits while presenting in the necessary physical, mental and emotional state.

We promise to furnish you with all the equipment, marketing, services and facilities to grow and maintain a fully booked schedule within The Wax Scene.
