We have an exciting opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist to join our Biochemistry Team based at University Hospital Hairmyres.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing a broad range of specialist and routine laboratory diagnostic investigations in Biochemistry, using a range of scientific measurements and technical procedures on patient samples and providing advice to clinicians and other healthcare staff as to appropriateness of tests and time-scales.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for their own work load and will use specialist training to operate complex equipment, ass well as solving problems. The post holder will act as a mentor to less experienced Biomedical Scientists and will participate in training /supervision of Trainee Biomedical Scientists and Medical Laboratory Assistants.
