Job summary
Community Paediatrics are looking for a Band 2 Booking Coordinator for their Centralised Booking Team.

As part of the booking team you will provide a specialised, comprehensive and patient-centred clinical administration and booking service within Community Paediatrics.

Our core hours are Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.
Main duties of the job
You will provide booking support within the CCHP Centralised Booking Team.
You will cover the processing of referrals, booking and cancelling of patient appointments, reception cover and deal with queries from patients and their carers in person and by telephone and email. This role is a perfect opportunity for those who possess a positive outlook, excellent communication skills, works well as a member of a team and can meet deadlines under pressure.
You will be able to demonstrate initiative, independent judgement and decision making arising from situations within this role. The post-holder will be required to liaise with paediatricians, secretaries, NHS colleagues, parents/carers of patients and the general public.
You will work jointly with the Support Operational Service Lead to ensure timely management of clinic bookings, document output and internal target policies underpinned by clinical pathways.
The role will include organising the onward referral of patients, co-ordinating internal waiting lists and booking clinics for Community Paediatrics across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.
