WHAT TO EXPECT

You’ll be part of the Engineering team based in DMO department. As a CAD modeller, you’ll be responsible for the modelling of design solutions from inputs including but not limited to CAS, ICEM and studio eng data, releasing of parts into various manufacturing routes within DMO team and externally across all Jaguar and Landrover products.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Design of feasible model solutions to produce parts and assemblies for various routes of manufacture.
• Hold reviews with key stakeholders to sign off design proposals.
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.
• Produce feasible designs to target delivery hours.
• Liase with manufacturing teams during the design stage to ensure customer requirements are met
• Produce supporting documentation

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Essential:

• Previous experience in engineering design solutions to complex requests
• Previous model design experience (Show cars, CDRM’s, C&M bucks)
• Working knowledge of Design Engineering
• Knowledge of model design
• Possess excellent organisational and business interface skills
• Customer mind-set
• Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience with a design package (ideally Catia V6, training may be given to suitable candidate).
• Knowledge of engineering BOM
• Knowledge of design for manufacture

Desirable:

• Catia V6
• Teamcentre and Enovia
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, the ability to communicate and influence change
• Mould tool design
• GRP panel design
• Knowledge of fixing methodologies

• Knowledge of BOM based parts listing and family trees would be advantageous
