Busy family run café in beautiful lakeside setting, looking for passionate hardworking individual to join our front of house team.

You’ll play an integral role, setting and maintaining standards of excellence. The Café by the Lake enjoys a great reputation and has a hugely loyal following due to the quality and consistency of our freshly prepared food, superior customer service and the relaxed ambience of our countryside setting, with cosy log burners in the winter and beautiful lakeside seating in the summer months.

As a member of our Front of House café team we would require you to have:

• An enthusiasm and a genuine interest in working in a busy restaurant environment with high standards of food hygiene and customer service is essential. Previous experience is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and can work well in a team
• A positive mindset with the ability to motivate yourself and others.
• A smart and clean appearance
• A steady employment record to date
• Willingness and flexibility to work split shifts, evenings and weekends
• A legal right to work in the UK
• An ability to perform duties which require speed, efficiency, organisation and possible heavy lifting
• Own transport due to our rural location and lack of regular public transport

Responsibilities:

• To ensure the smooth, consistent running of the restaurant and bar
• To uphold a high level of customer service and customer satisfaction
• To ensure all staff adhere to staff policies and procedures
• To maintain a high level of cleanliness in all aspects of the business
• To reduce any customer complaints
