Cafe@62 is a small, but growing, plant-based, independent, food service business in Brighton. We are passionate about serving good quality vegan food, and are very customer focused. Our goal is to offer a great all round customer experience.

This is a demanding, high pressure environment! For a few hours each Saturday, Sunday and on holidays. Our proximity to Brighton station, requires us to provide fast-paced service, while still maintaining a high food hygiene standards.

Our company goals are to grow and expand and we are looking to find people who would like to do that with us.

You should be:

A self-starter. Have a passion for hospitality. Be motivated, reliable, and have a good work ethic. Ideally you have another source of income, as this is a part-time position. (10-16 hours per week). Having a flexible schedule is preferable as some extra shifts could become available during summer holidays. You need to be able-bodied as the cafe operates over 3 floors. Previous experience in a similar enviroment is advantageous.

Remuneration will be dependent on experience, attitude, longevity and age.

We are looking for a friendly individual to work as part of our team at our friendly café. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing espresso and other coffee based beverages and bussing tables. This full-time position offers a flexible schedule, and the successful candidate will receive comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a pleasant and helpful attitude toward customers, even when receiving orders for complicated coffee drinks.
• Keep stock shelves stocked and organized. Prepare coffee for in-house use and for outside delivery.
• Stock shelves with various groceries such as dry goods, canned goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products and other perishables.
• Respond to customer requests for products not readily available.
• Answer phone calls to take orders for home delivery of coffee, donuts, and other bakery items.
• Help prepare lunches, breakfasts, and dinners; using a variety of cooking methods.
• Help run the cash register. Use a calculator to make change on cash transactions.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 12 per week

Salary: £8.00-£15.00 per hour
