Café Supervisor

Can you use your hospitality and community building skills to help us bring our new community park cafe in Boscombe to life?

Following the success of our first community park cafe at Winton Recreation Ground which opened in 2019, we are now expanding our community cafe model into Redhill Park and Boscombe Chine Gardens. We are looking for an entrepreneurial supervisor for our Boscombe Chine Gardens cafes who can manage the daily operations with a focus on developing our volunteer’s skills as well as increasing park use and engagement. Our cafes will be operated in the most environmentally conscious way possible.

The role will involve:

• Creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for the café.
• Ordering supplies from approved suppliers.
• Delivering a varied menu of hot drinks, cakes and lunch offerings, including a mix of home-made products.
• Responsibility for overall standards of cleanliness and Health & Safety procedures, ensuring the café has a high Food Hygiene Rating

Terms:

• Hours: 40 hours a week (5 days), including regular weekend work. 32 hours a week (4 days) would also be considered)
• Pay: £11 p/hour + holiday pay
• Contract type: fixed term until Friday 8th September 2023.
