To work at Age UK Medway, it isn't all about what qualifications or experience you have. For us, it's about your ability to show compassion and empathy for older people, and dedication to our core values as a charity - to make sure all older people are able to Achieve Life's Fullness.
If you can show us you have these qualities, the rest we will do for you. We cover your training, uniforms and your DBS checks, and will provide you with good rates of pay, expenses and mileage cover, and, most excitingly, we will give you access to our new staff benefits scheme which includes rewards for staff who go and above beyond to help people like Alf.
If you would like to join a dynamic team of professional and caring people, making positive change to the lives of hundreds of older people each week, then get in touch to talk about our current vacancies.
Join us, and be the change we need to see in society, and take the time to #AskAboutAlf
We are seeking to appoint a Care Worker to add to our dedicated Carers Relief Service (CRS) team, who would support clients with Learning Disabilities by providing client-led activities within the community – which could include trips to the cinema, bowling, shopping, walks, gyms, snooker, Day Centre clubs and sit-in services.
In this Social Work role, you would be working as part of the team that delivers care and support to the clients using our support services, part of which would also include transporting our clients to and from their homes in order for them to engage in the activities of their choice.
