Catering Assistant

As a Catering Assistant at Sodexo in Doncaster Royal Infirmary, you will help with the preparation and serving of our vibrant menu whilst ensuring all working areas are kept clean and tidy. Great customer service and a cheerful temperament is vital in this role, your interaction with patients, staff and visitors can help to alleviate some of the stress that is often associated with hospitals. What you’ll do:

• Assist in setup and serving of hot and/or cold foods from counters and steamtables
• Clean and sanitise equipment and workstations
• Read recipes and/or product directions
• Serve and replenish food from counters and and steam table and breakdown stations at the end of meal periods or service
• Interact with customers in the serving, retail and dining areas
• This position does include some heavy lifting

What you bring:

• A passion for providing nutritious and delicious meals
• Positive attitude, professionalism, and respect for others
• Basic food-handling skills
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time

An opportunity has arisen to join our already amazing Catering team here at Doncaster Royal Infirmary as a Catering Assistant!

• 16 hrs per week
• £10.42 per hour (20% weekend enhancement pay)
• Shift Pattern: 4.00pm - 8.00pm - on a fixed rota, working 4-5 evenings in a row (overtime available)
