Kitchen Assistant
Hourly Rate £10.42 - £10.62 per hour

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our residential dementia care home, Walton Manor, located on Shay Lane, Walton, Wakefield WF2 6NW.
As a Kitchen Assistant your role will include
- Preparing and assisting with cooking main meals.
- Preparing and cooking breakfast, pastries, afternoon snacks such as cakes, biscuits etc.
- Follow Health and Safety and food safety procedures.
- Keep the kitchen equipment, crockery and utensils clean and hygienic and report concerns to line manager.
- To serve and support with meals to residents as required.

Ideally as a kitchen Assistant you will have
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Previous catering experience.
- Knowledge of a care setting and the needs of elderly people.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
- Experience of working in a care environment, ideally in a residential setting (desirable).
- Level 2 Food Safety certificate (desirable).
