Catering Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently looking to recruit an excellent and experienced hands-on Catering Manager to join a key client of ours in their global corporate headquarters.

As Catering Manager, you will join our dedicated catering team, who produce outstanding food using the finest and freshest ingredients in this highly innovative corporate environment. We put our dedication to fabulous food in the spotlight to showcase what our talented team can do!

In this role you will drive the delivery and development of the food offer and services through commercial initiatives, innovation, and team development. This is a fantastic opportunity to promote healthy eating, wellbeing and customer satisfaction. You will ensure prompt and efficient preparation and service whilst providing the most cost-effective catering service which offers the users quality and choice in all food areas as expected within a Global HQ.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar environment, be customer facing, and have a passion for innovation, who is skilled in fresh food delivery and passionate about food.

Main Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Drive the delivery and development of the food offer and services through commercial initiatives, innovation, and team development.
• To ensure prompt and efficient preparation and service; provide the most cost-effective catering service which offers the users quality and choice in all food areas to the company’s standard and to the client’s satisfaction as expected within a Global HQ.
• Ensure that the site budget is met, GP achieved, full P & L/financial responsibility of area and that all company audits & documentation are attained to the required standard.
• Promote healthy eating, wellbeing and customer satisfaction, whilst working with Health and Fitness Team.
• Deliver passion, drive and great customer service that is expected at a Global HQ Corporate Head Office, across all teams
• Ensure that all food is prepared with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customer special dietary requirement, calorie and allergen management.
• Drive reduction in Food Waste and Sustainability Focus
• Deliver HSE/Food safety compliance across your department

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous catering experience in a similar environment /commercial environment
• Strong financial management and reporting
• Good standard of literacy, numeracy, IT and experience of managing a budget
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and staff at all levels
• Experience of delivering training using company guidelines
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Positive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs as appropriate
• Self-motivated, able to make decisions and react to sudden changes in operation
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexible approach to role
• IOSH managing safely qualification/Food safety qualification
