A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CHEF MANAGER AT HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS REDDITCH

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the General Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following duties.

• Cooking food in a timely manner using different methods and techniques
• Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality.
• Overseeing the running of the kitchen.
• Cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
• Adhering to IHG brand standards.
• Developing Group Menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand.
• Compiling allergens.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To succeed in the role of Chef Manager you will need the following qualities and skills.

• The ability to adhering to the company’s rules and regulations on policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety, and licensing regulations
• The ability to manage all sections of the kitchen, whilst ensuring health and safety standards are met
• To be flexible in your approach, and able to assist other members of the team when required
• A team player who thrives in the hustle and bustle of a busy kitchen department, whilst able to work both on their own and with others
• Someone who is passionate about food and willing to learn
• Previous experience in a similar role
• An understanding of quality control and kitchen standards
