Here at Amey Rail and AIW, you’ll have the unique opportunity to bring high-profile, ground-breaking Rail projects seeing them come to life. Your work will have impact, making a genuine difference to people’s lives, often in the very community where you live.
As a Summer Intern in Civil Engineer, you’ll join a growing team to provide the engineering support installation works within the railway environment to ensure that we achieve the Net Carbon Zero targets. You’ll be stretched, but always supported, surrounded by people who want you to thrive and embrace new challenges, recognising your hard work and looking out for your wellbeing.
We have opportunities across various rail engineering disciplines:
Each discipline is based out of our main depots, in the Cardiff and Core Valley lines areas in Wales, where you’ll collaborate and engage with colleagues through a combination of office and site-based working, working a mixture of days and nights. You will be part of several projects operating within the multi-billion-pound Wales and Borders Franchise Contracts.
As a Summer Intern, other than your relevant degree, we don’t expect you to bring prior experience with you when you join us; we will give you all the skills and opportunities.
We therefore keep our list of essential requirements to a minimum, but there are a few things needed to qualify for our programme:
If you possess the determination, initiative, and curiosity to become an expert in your field, or one of our future leaders, then our graduate development programme could be for you.
Here at Amey, our greatest asset is our people so that’s why we ensure that our rewards will make you feel that you are a valued part of us.
We will offer you a starting salary for the duration of your internship; £10.42 per hour for duration of 10-12 weeks.
