Class 1 Driver

Pay Rate: £37,040.64, HGV premium £2600 per year paid monthly @ £216per month. Weekend premium, Saturday & Sunday paid £1.25per hour. Overtime premium paid at £1.33per hour. Bank Holidays are normal working days and paid at time and half.
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 4 out of 7 and 5 out of 7 shifts available - Weekends are included. Start times vary between 4am and 6am

DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Class 1 Driver to play a vital role in our distribution service.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will

• Be delivering chilled, ambient and milk to stores around the South East and Central London
• There will be between 4 to 13 drops per day
• Heavy Lifting will be required within this role
• Manage the daily transportation and distribution of volume goods from site to stakeholder location, supervising / handling the loading and unloading of goods, with related machinery.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Practical experience as a Class 1 Driver, preferably within a logistics environment / or confirm other driving related experience considered.
• A knowledge of supply chain practices.
• Previous experience of the transportation, delivery and final distribution of volume orders.
• You will Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
