Duchy estate, just off of Cott Road and Restormel Castle can be seen from across the valley.

Main purpose of role

As a member of the cleaning team you will maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all public areas (outside of opening times) along with staff and office spaces

Position

• To carry out cleaning duties across internal restaurant and retail spaces and staff areas including floors, glass, fixtures, fittings, non-stock holding surfaces, offices, staff rooms and toilets
• To empty and refresh all internal bins
• To order cleaning equipment and products and keep an organised store area
• To work safely, following all training and product guidelines and wearing appropriate ppe as required
• To report defects to all areas and equipment as and when discovered

The right candidate

• You will have cleaning experience and an organised approach to your work
• You will be proud of your work and enjoy working with others
• You will be able to demonstrate a reliable work record and attention to detail
• You’ll be flexible where possible and keen to support when needed
• You will enjoy work and have a good sense of humour
• You will be a responsible and trusted individual as a key holder to the site

You will need to have a strong empathy with the objectives of the Duchy of Cornwall and the implementation of the Duchy’s policies.

Working pattern and reward Package

• Shifts between 6am and 10am or earlier if preferred
• 3 to 5 days per week (12 to 20 hours) which will include alternate weekends or all weekends if suited. Additional daytime hours may also be available in our other Duchy facilities in the Lostwithiel area
• You will be working in pairs on the same shift
• £11.50 per hour (for those aged 21 and over)
• You will be entitled to 28 days holiday including bank holidays for England and Wales pro rata for part time working
