Are you currently a CNC Machinist with experience running milling machines? Would you like a role where you will receive continual training and opportunities to develop your skillset to become a technical expert?

The Kurt J Lesker Company is a well-established, global manufacturer of bespoke vacuum equipment researching the technology of tomorrow. As we continue to develop, strengthen, and expand our manufacturing department, we are looking for a new CNC Milling Machinist to permanently join our specialist team.

This position is based at our new manufacturing facility based in St Leonards. Standard hour shift are Monday – Friday 2pm – 10.30pm.

The role:

• Setting work pieces, running direct and remote programs from engineering drawing on both horizontal and vertical HAAS milling machines
• Confidently set tools and produce parts to the correct quality standards
• Programming bespoke designs using CAM software and identify any programming errors
• Document setup instructions that list tools, tool positions, feeds, speeds, and fixtures required to run machine in assigned workplace

What we would expect from you:

• Previous experience using multi axis machines
• Capable using various machine controls and conversational machine programs
• Minimum of 2 years actual machining experience
• Flexible and positive approach to working
• HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or equivalent
