Gap personnel acting as an employment agency, are currently looking to recruit Cold Store Operatives on a permanent basis to one of our well-established clients currently based in Codford – relocating to Frome in April 2023.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Working with Stores and Distribution Team to ensure the accurate and efficient intake / dispatch of frozen products has arisen.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Efficiently moves product from the staging area or storage areas into trailers,
• Unloads inbound shipments safely, scans and inspects goods,
• Efficiently stacking and recording locations,
• Reports all shortages, overages, damages and misplacements to immediate supervisor,
• Pulls and prepares product for shipment,
• Performs the picking duties in an efficient manner,
• Maintain the facilities equipment and materials in a neat, clean condition,
• Assists in maintaining the safety of all employees.

IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST:

• Have ability to become certified to operate reach or counterbalance forklifts and other material handling equipment,
• Have own transport due to rural location,
• Have ability to work in a cold environment, perform occasional heavy lifting,
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills,
• Be able to work overtime, days and/or evening and weekends to meet the needs of the business.

Training will be provided for the successful candidate.

HOURS OF WORK:

• Monday to Friday 07:00-15:00

RATE OF PAY:

• Prior to completion probation period: £11.60ph
• Upon completion probation period: £12.72ph
