We are a newly established team supporting the Trading (buying & merchandising) and Finance functions of the TJX Europe business comprising of TKMaxx and Homesense brands in both physical stores and ecommerce retail. This role therefore offers a great opportunity to support the growth & development of this new team.

The Trading Hub Analytics Manager reports into the Manager of Financial Control and is responsible for developing in-depth insights and reporting for a range of business stakeholders at all levels across the trading and finance functions using Microsoft Power BI.

This role requires a strong understanding of data analytics, data modelling, reporting and visualisation. The successful candidate will be able to work with the key stakeholders to understand their requirements, develop analytical briefs, gather large volumes of data from multiple systems both themselves and in partnership with the Enterprise Data teams and model this data into a suitable structure to enable performant, scalable and automated reporting in a timely fashion to support the key stakeholders in making informed decisions and measuring against business objectives and KPIs

The role holder is also expected to be a subject matter expert who is passionate about data analytics and visualisation, keeping abreast of new tools and developments in the field and is able to contribute to knowledge sharing and upskilling within the team and wider business.

Job Summary

• Support the Trading (buying & merchandising) and Finance functions in their strategic and tactical decision making through the development of trading and finance analysis and reporting
• Work cross-functionally in understanding stakeholders’ requirements, translation of these from a data modelling perspective, liaising with relevant data teams where required and creation of self-service and automated reporting, primarily in Power BI
• Ensure clear and actionable insights can be derived from the above reporting aligned to business objectives and support the ongoing measurement of these
• Be a subject matter expert, keeping abreast of relevant product developments and contribute to the wider business community in sharing knowledge and utilising new functionality as it is deployed
• Responsible for the development of two direct reports

Key Responsibilities

• Creation and ongoing development of reporting for the trading and finance teams across the TJX Europe business
• Collaborate with core business stakeholders to develop analytics briefs, ensuring these are aligned to business objectives and enable clear and actionable insights
• Define the evolving BI business requirements and collaborate with wider Enterprise Data teams to continuously develop and improve the BI strategy
• Prioritise own and team direct reports’ workload effectively across multiple stakeholders to ensure delivery is on time and meets business needs
• Act as a business champion for Power BI identifying opportunities to further automate and develop business reporting and insight within trading & finance
• Support the Trading Hub manager in the development of the team

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Graduate in a numerical degree with c5 years professional experience in data analytics & reporting
• Experience of working in a large retail or consumer facing business with physical stores and ecommerce operations beneficial
• Excellent visualisation tool experience, particularly Microsoft Power BI & DAX
• Knowledge of the wider Microsoft Power Platform, SQL, Access and Python or similar languages beneficial
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex topics in a simple and meaningful way
• Solid project management skills with a great influential personality and ability to prioritise effectively across multiple ongoing projects
• Team management experience preferred
