Senior Data Engineer – £100,000 – £120,000 + 20% Bonus – Financial Services – Fully Remote
Overview:
A leading Financial Services organisation are looking for a number of Senior Data Engineers to join one of their growing teams in London on a fully remote basis.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Build highly scalable data pipelines leveraging the data platform for both batch and streaming data.
- Process large amounts of data using spark to ensure data are readily available for machine learning models, analytics and business intelligence.
- Collaborate with a cross functional team including Data Strategists, Data Scientists and business stakeholders.
- Optimise and maintain existing data pipelines to improve performance, data quality and increase business impact.
- Communicate complex solutions in a clear and understandable way to both experts and non-experts.
- Passion for learning new skills and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.
- Be a team player in our collaborative and cross-functional environment.
Technical Requirements:
- Strong experience with AWS or Azure (both preferred).
- Strong experience with Spark (Scala or Pyspark).
- Ability to write production-grade Python and/or Scala code.
- Experience standardising ETL pipelines.
- Strong background within database technologies (SQL etc.)
