Contract Type – Temporary ongoing.

Hours – Typical attendance will be between 08:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday, however you may be required to work overtime (subject to business requirements) Flexibility is essential.

About the role
You will start your day loading and carrying out safety checks on your 3.5t long wheelbase van, once your vehicle is loaded you’ll be busy collecting and delivering parcels in specific geographical areas around Belfast. Delivering in excess of 60 parcels per day. Training will be provided and you will be required to take a driving assessment prior to your start date.

You must go the extra mile for client and your customers as you have full responsibility in ensuring you deliver everything from birthday presents to vital business information.

About you
Our drivers are the face of our client so we are looking for someone who is helpful and friendly and looking for a long-term opportunity in an ambitious and growing company. A positive person with good people skills, presentable in appearance and has a strong work ethic. It is important that you’re able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg.

Prior experience doing deliveries or courier driving in a 3.5T vehicle is preferred but not essential, you will also need your own sat nav to support you with the provided route planner.

Successful candidates will have a full clean UK driving license (6 points or less will be considered).

Suitable candidates will be subject to a security vetting process and DBS Checks, so will need to provide documents of proof of ID, proof of address and 5-year address history.

Job Description:

• Multi-Drop Delivery in a 3.5t van of parcels ranging up to 30kg max (with use of trolley).
• Monday – Friday with weekend overtime.
• 8:00am start and average of 8-10 hour working hours.
• £13.37 p/h (Paid weekly)
• Temp to Permanent Opportunity.
• Van and Fuel will be provided by depot.
• Expected to make around 40 drops per day initially and increasing to about 80-100 with experience.

Person Specification:

• Organised with good time keeping.
• Hold a full UK Manual Driving license for at least 1 year with a maximum of 6 points.
• Experience driving a 3.5t van and courier driving preferred.
• Professional and polite customer service skills.
