This is an exciting opportunity for a Design and Marketing Assistant to join a thriving commerce lighting company. Lyco are one of the UKs leading lighting companies working across B2B and B2C with brands such as Five Guys, Popeyes, Malmaison and many more.

Due to growth within the business we are looking for a creative professional looking to begin their career as a creative marketer.

What you’ll be doing:

Working closely with and supporting the Graphic Designer and Marketing team will develop design concepts through to finished designs, to a brief and on schedule for all websites under the Lyco group, Lyco, Lighting Direct, Online Lighting, Edit, Envirolight, ledkia and Castlegate.

We are passionate about Career progression so this is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Design and Marketing Assistant with strong Creative skills and the hunger to learn, improve and develop in their career.

As the Junior Graphic Designer you will be:

• Creating social media assets, images, GIF's, animations, e-shots

• Crop and resize product images so that they are ready for the web site

• Source and process imagery for social media and blogs

• Editing existing designs, keeping within existing brand guidelines

• Supporting Graphic Designer in creating web banners for use on all sites

• Supporting the marketing team with the design and build of transactional and campaign emails

• Design the layout of blogs, creating any infographics or visual aids necessary

• Supporting the marketing team with the design, build and maintaining of CMS pages for all sites

• Supporting the marketing team with the design, build and maintaining of category landing pages for all sites

You will also have the opportunity to assist the graphic designer with:

• Logo and branding creation

• UI/UX projects

• Image retouching

• Print and online catalogue design

• Social Media Assets and Infographics

• Packaging design

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Skills

• A creative thinker

• Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail

• Happy to work on multiple projects simultaneously

• A genuine interest in Graphic Design & Marketing

Desirable

• Experience with designing to a brief

• Knowledge of HTML

• Experience within a marketing team

• Experience with Dot Digital or similar email platforms

• Experience with Magento or CMS
