As a Barclays Developer, you will work within the Risk, Finance and Treasury team. The Chief Operating office for Risk, Finance and Treasury supports the effective and cost-efficient execution of Risk, Finance and Treasury functions through the provision of world class technology, change, data, and information. This extends to all the functions that roll up to the Group Finance and Product Control Teams.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
• Translating business strategy into an executable program of delivery

- Being accountable for delivering key components for a robust, high scalability data transformation platform
- Making delivery of the solutions and services meet requirements
- Ensuring that integrity is maintained by taking a best practice approach to development and implementation
- Understanding existing enterprise assets such as frameworks, patterns and subsystems
- Certifying that the solution will be easy to maintain by encouraging design quality
What we’re looking for:
• Overall knowledge of Development and Project Methodologies
• Can confidently demonstrate agile practices and methodology experience in a financial organization
• Overall knowledge of Development and Project Methodologies
- Proven experience in Finance/Banking
- Broad experience in the following: Oracle, PL/SQL, Unix scripting, GIT bash, Python
- Excellent command of the English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Can confidently demonstrate agile practices and methodology experience in a financial organization
- Experience managing change in priorities and co-ordinate multiple teams and resources
- Highly motivated, driven team player who is enthusiastic and eager to learn who demonstrates initiative / Pro-active skills
- Detail oriented well organized, and you manage your time well
Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.
We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
