Age UK’s award-winning fundraising team are recruiting for a Direct Marketing Manager to manage the Individual Marketing Acquisition programme. The key focus for this fantastic role will be to oversee the delivery of direct marketing campaigns that inspire donations from new supporters. These campaigns span a variety of channels, which will require you to be effective at budget, project, and stakeholder management. This post, in overseeing direct response campaigns, analysing audience response and fundraising performance, will play a vital role in generating income to support Age UK’s vital services.
You’ll also help improve our understanding of donor motivations, and your insights will help us to shape how we reach potential new supporters and attract them to our cause.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has experience working in a direct marketing programme in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. In this role you will be able to develop your management skills, fundraising skills, strategic thinking and work as part of an ambitious and collegiate individual marketing team.
This role would best suit a marketing specialist who has experience acquiring new customers or supporters and driving incremental sales or income, as well as managing a team (desirable, not compulsory). Understanding/experience of developing engaging ongoing supporter journeys is desirable, as is proven multi-channel experience. We’re looking for someone who can coach, empower and motivate a team, whilst providing strategic direction.
Age UK has a hybrid working policy, so whilst this role is expected to work in the London office on Thursdays, the post holder can work from either the office or their home on the other days. The role may need to attend the office outside of Thursdays for meetings, but this is agreed with managers, usually with at least 5 days’ notice.
