Canon Cambridge has a vacancy for a digital print operator to join the team at the primary site based in Whittlesford. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in time critical digital print using variable personalised data, which requires multiple stock changes in a 100% quality focused environment.

You will be highly computer literate and will have good knowledge of workflow management and the management of print queues.

This position will require you to deal directly with end users, so customer service focus is essential.

There will also be a requirement to provide cover in the high-volume inkjet print department working on Canon CS3700 printers with booklet makers. Experience in this area is also desirable, though full training will be provided.

Although the role will be primarily based at Whittlesford, you will provide holiday and sickness cover at our second site at Papworth Everard when required.

What we ask

You will require the following experience:

• 
  Excellent IT skills and therefore you must be highly computer literate
• Excellent customer communication skills
• Knowledge of workflow management and print queue management is desirable
• Good understanding of digital print technologies in the mid to high volume production areas
• Good understanding of transactional print and unstructured print
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ideally has worked in a competitive commercial environment
• A high quality assurance focused approach exhibiting a reliable and responsible attitude
• Ability to work on own initiative but to also be a keen team player
• Process and results driven
• Take pride and professionalism in all tasks, and take ownership for work produced

Further Information

Salary: Up to £29,216 depending on experience. £250 site bonus will also apply.
