Dog Day Care Assistant

We're looking for one part time Daycare Assistant / driver to work three fixed days per week Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday plus holiday cover. Hours are 7:50am to 5pm.

The role involves driving a van and collecting and returning dogs to client's homes, effectively managing dog to dog interactions and ensuring all welfare needs are surpassed with regular enrichment, training and play. Additional duties include regular cleaning of all equipment, facilities and vehicles, undertaking regular maintenance of the daycare facility, keeping all paperwork up to date and attending training courses to continue professional development.

Successful candidates should love dogs, enjoy working outside, have a good sense of humour, work well within a small team and be excellent time keepers. Candidates must be located in either Crystal Palace, Penge, South Norwood, Beckenham or West Wickham.

Required criteria:

• Must be 25 or over due to our insurer not covering anyone under this age
• Clear DBS ( criminal record ) check
• Full, clean, manual UK driving licence (Automatic licences not accepted)
• Competence driving a medium sized van
• Willing and able to undertake physically demanding work
• Experience of dogs and a good understanding of dog behaviour and modern reward based training techniques
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to further professional development in the form of training courses

Desired

• Level 3 Animal Care Qualification / Willingness to train

Salary: £12,600.00-£14,586.00 per year
