Driver - Glasgow

Dean & Wood is a leading refrigeration and air conditioning wholesaler with 17 branches throughout the UK. We have a vacancy for a Driver in Glasgow.

The Driver is expected to ensure customers receive a fast and efficient response to distribution enquiries, building customer loyalty and enhancing the company’s reputation for service.

Your main duties will include:

• Deliveries
• Daily vehicle checks
• Dealing with trade counter customers
• Goods inwards, picking, packing, loading and off-loading vehicles

The ideal Driver will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Previous warehouse experience
• Ability to operate a forklift truck is desirable, but not essential; training will be given
• Familiarity with computerised despatch systems would be an advantage
• You would need to enjoy working as part of a team
• Effective communication skills

Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is required.

Full training will be provided on all product and service offerings.

Your normal working hours will be based on a 42.5 hour working week, usually Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5pm. However, you will be expected to work a daily 8.5 hour shift between the hours of 6am and 6pm on a flexible basis. You will be required to participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota.
