Electrical Engineering One Year Internship

Job description:

The Viper Innovations Engineering Internship will be based in our Portishead Office. You will have exposure to a wide variety of different activities which could include, but is not limited to: Algorithm development and testing, PCB design, rapid prototyping, simulation, data analysis hardware circuit design, providing immediate fault diagnosis, customer support and concept creation.

Within this project you will be responsible for laboratory experimental work to capture the the products operation, update an attribute in a test environment and analyse of the results

The product effectively repairs critical infrastructure cables and is the most important product for Viper. We are keen to understand more of the process in the product and further improve it for our customers. Some of the technical challenges that you will be working on will not have been solved before in industry.

Skills required:

• Strong 1st / 2nd / 3rd Year University degree results (2:1 and above).
• Experience in a programming language (e.g Matlab, Python, Java, C,C++ etc) is seen as an advantage but is not essential.
• A strong desire to problem solve in what can sometimes be a time-constrained scenario.
• Strong communication Skills.
• Able to take ownership for projects and work to time limits.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
