Electrician

Formed in 2003, City Gate Construction (CGC) specialise in construction, refurbishment, fabrication, mechanical and electrical services, new build housing, bespoke joinery, maintenance and regeneration.

With its Head Office in Linwood, CGC employs more than 225 people, with six UK offices, most recently opening premises in Birmingham. Providing a bespoke service across a range of industries, CGC continue to secure major contracts from housing associations, exclusive private developers and local authorities.

Since its formation, CGC has recruited around 180 Renfrewshire residents and despite the pandemic, CGC have experienced continued grown, boosting an annual turnover this year in excess of £30m. We also continue to recruit apprentices, with 22 currently enrolled across a range of trades including painting and decorating, carpentry and joinery, plumbing and plastering. A further seven apprenticeship places are being offered from August 2022 as part of CGC’s work to encourage young people to join the construction industry and support its business growth.

We are currently looking to recruit electricians to join our M&E division on a permanent basis.

We are looking for people who have the following:

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (recognised apprenticeship)
• City & Guilds 18th Edition (17th will be considered)
• Experience with commercial / domestic electrical installations
• High level of commitment and desire to achieve goals and meet deadlines
• Team spirit, willing to assist other colleagues
• First class customer facing skills
• Good communication and organisation skills
• Driving License (Valid)
• ECS Card (Valid)
• Testing Experience
